Water Therapy Benefits 1: Bouyancy

For the past 30 years, we have been conducting physical therapy (PT) in and around water due to the exceptional results that our patient receive, especially in those who have not done well with traditional physical therapy on land.

The water, particularly at chest depth and deeper, alleviates the body’s weight, facilitating easier movement. Movement patterns that potentially harm the body over time, such as limping or uneven weight distribution while walking, are easier to correct in the water.

One on one manual physical therapy and soft tissue manipulation helps modify muscle length and its activation, and the water environment allows for the practice of movement patterns that impose less stress or load on the body.
